Four Decades Allied to Terrorist

Thomas Friedman of The New York Times wrote that we shouldn’t attack Daesh in Syria and should even consider arming them to overthrow Assad. Even John Kerry admitted that the US tried to use Daesh to bring Assad to the negotiating table whereas the Chief of the Israeli military said that Israel prefers Daesh to Assad, because Daesh never intentionally attacks Israel and when it did happen, they immediately apologized.
Hillary Clinton wrote that Saudi Arabia and Qatar fund and arm Daesh and Joe Biden, Gen. Martin Dempsey and Gen. Wesley Clark have all stated that US allies in the Middle East arm and fund al-Qaeda and Daesh. Several State Department cables have also clearly laid out how Saudi Arabia is the primary source of funding for terrorism around the world!
We never go to war or impose sanctions on the real sponsors of terrorism and we don’t even condemn them. The Council on Foreign Relations publishes an article titled “Accepting al-Qaeda” and Hillary Clinton’s chief foreign policy advisor wrote to her that al-Qaeda is on our side. 
For ten years from 1979, the US used the Mujahideen to defeat the Soviet Union (see the movie “Charlie Wilson’s War” based on the truth). The media and Hollywood glorified those Afghan fighters in the 1980’s and they even got to visit the White House.
During this time, more than 35,000 so-called Arab Afghans came from all over the world to fight the Soviets and the slogan “Fight for Allah” was much more effective than “Fight for Country X.” Fighters motivated by religion were also useful since they were not afraid of death. This mindset was critical for using suicide bombers and without them, many battles and wars would not have been won.
The US also learned from Saudi Arabia that indoctrination is essential to create good soldiers. So the CIA came up with clever textbooks for Afghan kids that introduced them to concepts of jihad, weapons and hatred for Russians.
Since then, Saudi Arabia has spent billions of dollars on Islamic schools – Madrassas – all over the world and these schools act as breeding grounds for future activists, extremists and fighters. Saudis also print textbooks that are used all over the world. Kids learn loving messages such as “Kill Shias, Christians and Jews.” 
Saudi mosques and preachers all over the world still spread these extremist messages.
When the Afghan war was about to be won, it dawned on the US that the Mujahideen project was a brilliant playbook that could be replicated in other parts of the world and al-Qaeda was formed. 
Huge oil reserves were discovered near the Caspian Sea but the countries in the region were all pro-Soviet and pro-Russia after the fall of the USSR.
The Mujahideen were used throughout the 1990’s in Bosnia, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Dagestan, Chechnya to overthrow pro-Russia dictators, install pro-West leaders who would assist in building energy pipelines and also host US military bases, and disrupt Russian pipelines.
Azerbaijan was easy and Georgia took longer but within a year after that, the US had a 1000-mile pipeline that linked Azerbaijan (Caspian Sea), Georgia and Turkey!
Chechnya was a partial success and the Mujahideen were welcomed with bags of Saudi money and US weapons and in flash, the non-violent and mystical Sufism of Chechnya was replaced by Saudi Wahhabism.
Al-Qaeda started blowing up Russian pipelines and Russia invaded Chechnya in 1994, lost the war and withdrew. But when Putin became the Prime Minister, he waged a ruthless war against the jihadists, won decisively and installed his own strongman in Chechnya and today, Sufism has seen a major revival and Chechens have now started rejecting Wahhabism and jihadism.
Al-Qaeda was very helpful in Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo and in the late 1990’s, Nato bombing to get rid of the pro-Russia guy in Serbia.
In Libya, Syria, Yemen and Somalia, the US used the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda and Salafist Wahabbis. In Libya, the al-Qaeda franchise Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) was used. (One of their members was responsible for the Manchester attack. Ed)
Their leader, Belhadj was released from a CIA prison, dressed in a nice suit, had a photo-op with John McCain, and he became the freedom fighter who fought and killed Qaddafi.
In Syria, tens of thousands of al-Qaeda fighters were flown in from all over the world to topple Assad and if not for Putin’s “evil interventions”, there would be a Qatari gas pipeline through Syria and Israel would be drilling oil in Golan Heights.

The US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) documents proves that Daesh, al-Qaeda and like-minded terrorist groups are the “major forces” used as US foot soldiers in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere. There are no so-called “moderate rebels” and members flow between groups like the gallons of blood they spill on a daily basis.
The DIA documents show that the US, Nato, Saudi Arabia and other regional rogue states support (present tense!) an Islamic Caliphate to challenge, topple and replace Bashar al-Assad with an imperial puppet. 
Longstanding US/Israeli plans call for redrawing the Middle East map by color revolutions and wars, replacing independent governments with pro-Western puppet regimes, balkanizing Iraq, Syria, Iran and other regional countries for easier control, looting their resources, and exploiting their people. 
In a January 2016 Iran Review article, James Fetzer discussed evidence of Daesh’s creation by the US. In February 2015, Iraq’s military “downed 2 UK cargo planes carrying weapons for Daesh,” he explained and in March 2015, “Iraqi popular forces…shot down a US helicopter carrying weapons for Daesh in Al-Anbar province…”
In response to an April 2015 Syrian request to designate Daesh as a terrorist organization, “the US, Britain, France and Jordan refused…” 
A 2012 DIA document states that the West will facilitate the rise of Daesh “to isolate the Syrian regime.” 
A former CIA contractor Steven Kelly said that Washington “created Daesh for the sake of Israel,” along with assuring “never-ending war in the Middle East” to make the Jewish state the dominant regional power and provide a “constant flow of orders for weapons from the military-industrial complex at home…” 
In October 2015, Russian lower house State Duma International Affairs Committee chairman Alexi Pushkov explained that the US is “not bombing Daesh at all and Obama is lying to the American people.” 
In November 2015, Vladimir Putin said dozens of countries are supporting Daesh, including the USA and others. 
Very recently, the Deputy Chief of Iran’s armed forces, Chief of Staff General Mostafa Izadi, said: “We possess documents and information showing direct support from US imperialism for this highly disgusting stream (Daesh) in the region that has destroyed the Islamic countries and created a wave of massacres and clashes.” 
Fars News quoted Iran’s parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, saying: “The United States is aligned with Daesh in the region.” 
Optional>>>Meanwhile, a highly influential top Emirati diplomat heaped praise on a prominent Washington Post columnist for writing pro-Saudi propaganda. The United Arab Emirates’ ambassador to the United States, Yousef al-Otaiba, applauded journalist David Ignatius for his writing on Saudi Arabia. 
This relationship is especially notable in light of the conflict that has erupted in the Persian Gulf and the steadily escalating rift between the Gulf States when Saudi Arabia and the UAE, suspended diplomatic and economic ties with Qatar, and even imposed a de facto blockade on the country.
Both al-Otaiba and Ignatius have huge sway in Washington, D.C. and had the ear of former secretary of state Hillary Clinton. Both men have gone out of their way to portray the monarchy in Saudi Arabia in a positive light.
Emails obtained by other media outlets show the UAE ambassador collaborating with the right-wing, pro-Israel think tank Foundation for Defense of Democracies to develop strategies against Iran.
President Trump’s recent Arab Islamic American Summit in Riyadh has put the Saudi monarchy under renewed scrutiny, highlighting its projection of extremist Wahhabi state ideology throughout the world and its support for Salafi-jihadist groups like Daesh and al-Qaeda from Syria to the southern islands of the Philippines.
However, the UAE received less attention and is a key ally of the US as it collaborates militarily in Yemen and pours money into Washington think tanks. Yousef al-Otaiba is the UAE’s voice in Washington.
Otaiba also enjoyed close personal ties to Clinton during her time as secretary of state and under the Trump administration, his influence has grown. 
He is especially close to the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who has been tapped as a diplomatic jack-of-all-trades despite having entered Washington with no experience in government. Kushner, whose family has forged close ties to Israel’s Likud Party, has been described as Otaiba’s student, relying on him as a guide to the Middle East.
Otaiba exerted his influence on a private 2014 Pentagon meeting on ISIS strategy held by the U.S. Defense Policy Board. He was the only foreign politician invited, save for Britain’s ambassador, joining former top U.S. foreign policy honchos like Madeleine Albright and Zbigniew Brzezinski. 
At the meeting, he was the most vociferous proponent of regime change in Syria and violently toppling the government of Bashar al-Assad.
This was consistent with Otaiba’s history of pushing the U.S. toward massive military escalations. In 2010, he used his voice to amplify calls from the pro-Israel lobby and hawkish members of Congress for an attack on Iran. At a conference at the Aspen Institute, Otaiba declared, “I am willing to absorb what takes place at the expense of the security of the UAE.”
Meanwhile, the Turkish foreign minister said: “We know that a country provided $3 billion in financial support for the coup attempt in Turkey and exerted efforts to topple the government in illegal ways. On top of that, it is a Muslim country.” 
In response, a columnist for Yeni Safak daily, Mehmet Acet said that the Foreign Minister was speaking of the United Arab Emirates as being the Muslim country that spent billions to topple the Turkish government in the coup in July 2016.
 
He elaborated on his claims in an interview to the Turkish media, saying sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry had confirmed that the country behind the coup was indeed the United Arab Emirates.
Other sources also claimed that a media magnet close to the government in Abu Dhabi had indeed transferred money to Turkey weeks before the coup was carried out and they said that the money had been funneled to elements loyal to Fethullah Gulen, a cleric based in the United States who is accused by Ankara of masterminding the coup attempt.
After the coup, Turkey launched a massive crackdown to hunt the plotters and during the widening action, 40,000 people were arrested and another 100,000 were discharged from their jobs.
Ankara and Abu Dhabi are also at odds over the situation in Libya, where they support different sides of the conflict and are now also on opposite sides in the Gulf-Qatar spat.
