Zionist Interior Minister refused a U.S. request to freeze settlement expansions
Islam Times - IslamTimescorrespondentin occupied Jerusalem reported the position of the Zionist newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” mentioned that the U.S. Ambassador in Tel Aviv, Dan Shapiro, had asked Yishai during a meeting they had to approve a settlement freeze in order to go back to negotiations. 

It was shown that Shapiro told Yishai: “the United States is making great efforts to prevent the admission of Palestine to the United Nations and that a settlement freeze would help prevent Palestine’s acceptance, and the United States should not be embarrassed”, but Yishai refused the request. Shapiro Yishai said,

It is noteworthy that the Zionist Interior Minister had approved building thousands of settlement units, especially in East Jerusalem, and the most recent was a neighborhood in “Givat Himtos”.
