Islam Times - EU Agrees to Add to Iran Sanctions in Support of Israel

Islam Times - In continuation of the Western countries animosity towards Iran, the European Union reached a political agreement to tighten sanctions on Iran in retaliation for its reprisal attack against the occupying Israeli regime.

The sanctions are designed to curtail the exports of EU-made components used in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), or drones, and ballistic missiles.

The bloc had previously set up a dedicated regime to target Iranian-made drones, for their allegations against Iran for its alleged delivery of drones to Russia.

According to Euronews, the scheme has also blacklisted people and entities involved in Iran's UAV program through travel bans and asset-freezing measures.

In response to the Israeli terrorist attack on Iran's consulate building in Syria on April 1, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other Iranian armed forces attacked military targets in occupied Palestine with a barrage of drones and missiles on 13 April.

Tehran has strongly rejected any delivery of drones to Russia to be used in the Ukraine war. it has called for talks and political solutions for the Ukraine conflict.
