Iraq PMU Launches Extensive Operation against ISIL Terrorists

According to Iraqi sources, the forces of the 57th Al-Hashd al-Shaabi Division in Iraq managed to identify another hideout belonging to the remaining elements of the ISIL terrorist organization.

According to this report, a number of imaging drones were discovered and seized in the said hideout in the west of Al-Anbar.

A number of war equipment used by ISIL elements in their terrorist attacks against Iraqi civilians and security forces were also discovered.

In addition, Iraqi forces carried out a security operation in Nineveh province during the past day.

The Nineveh operation command affiliated with the Hashd al-Shaabi forces carried out this security operation in al-Hadhar Island, located in the south of Mosul.

ISIL, which attacked Iraq on June 7, 2014, and managed to capture about 45% of the country's territory for a short period of time, was defeated in November 2017; However, since then, the remanent members of the terrorist group are present and operating in Iraq and Syria and carry out terrorist attacks from time to time.

Iraqi security forces keep searching, clearing, and chasing ISIL across the country to make sure that ISIL and its fugitive elements do not re-emerge.
