Islam Times - Erdogan: Those who accuse the Islamic Republic have Nuclear Weapons

Turkey’s Prime Minister said in regards to Iran’s nuclear program being peaceful: “Those who accuse the Islamic Republic have nuclear weapons.”

Racep Tayyip Erdogan said the following about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s president: “There is no doubt that he is our friend. We have had great relations together and have not had any problems.”

Erdogan said: “Iran is not after building a nuclear weapon. They are only using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. There are positions about his issue that are not just. Those who claim that Iran is after a nuclear weapon have strong nuclear weapon programs themselves. This they do not deny. All permanent members of the United Nation’s Security Council have nuclear weapons. In addition to this some countries have nuclear weapons and are not members of the NPT.”
