Google’s new Privacy Settings has no Privacy
Islam Times: Thus, the fear of privacy is becoming a huge concern as Google launched its new privacy policy despite fierce opposition from civil rights groups.

The search giant will now store users personal information from Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Blogger to attract advertisers. A move that has rocked millions across the world to fear their personal security.

The new Google privacy setting has led to over 75 consumer groups issuing a letter to the company's chief executive Larry Page, branding the policy "unfair and unwise".

Nick Pickles, director of Big Brother Watch, said: "The impact of Google's new policy cannot be understated, but the public are in the dark about what the changes actually mean.

"If people don't understand what is happening to their personal information, how can they make an informed choice about using a service?"

European leaders have drafted in French regulator CNIL to investigate Google's privacy policy.
CNIL said its "preliminary analysis shows that Google's new policy does not meet the requirements of the European Directive on Data Protection".

Google claims the changes simply allow users to navigate more easily and make search results more relevant, consumers think very differently.
