Islam Times - Israel admits that Iran and Hezbollah are smart

Islam Times - Both Hezbollah and Iran have proved that they are a great power in the region in terms of the armed force primarily before the eyes of the enemy and its supporters. Subsequently, the commander of the northern corps of “The Israeli army”, Maj. Gen. Noam Tivon, admitted that Hezbollah is in the eighth rank in the world in terms of the missile arsenal it is possessing, adding that “Israel” cannot bear a rocket bombardment for a period of days or weeks by Hezbollah. He described it as a very smart organization, and the same goes for Iran, which was described by him as a very smart country.

Tivon was lecturing at the “Herzliya” center, north of Tel Aviv, during which he pointed that “The radical axis, consisting of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, is working to coordinate efforts internally, and has thus became very dangerous”. He stated that “This axis is working in a central square, and is followed by Iraq”, adding that “Hezbollah is keen to make the war limited to the Syrian territory, and it does not want to slide it into Lebanon”. On the other hand, he warned that the war is actually sliding into that country.

Tivon stressed that “Hezbollah’s intervention in Syria would not cut the rope of its supply, and this indicates that Hezbollah is having a growing role in different areas, for it is a very smart organization, and Iran is a very smart country as well. Therefore, Hezbollah, like Iran, has entered the world of cyber technology, is operating unmanned aircrafts, and is now inside the world of high-tech, what means it is a very dangerous enemy”.

Tivon elaborated further saying that “Hezbollah is in the eighth rank in the world in terms of the quantity of missiles and launchers possessed by it, in addition to the various types of mortars. “Hezbollah wants in the next war to paralyze “Israel” by missiles”. He continued saying that the army intends in any war yet to come to enter to those villages in order to solve this problem, because it could not bear the rocket attacks that would be faced by “Israel” for a period of days and/or weeks”.

According to Tivon, Israel considers that “What is maintaining the interim stability is Hezbollah’s clear desire not to open the front at this stage against “Israel” specifically”. Yet, the security situation is very fragile, for they in Hezbollah are receiving Russian arms from Syria on a consistent basis, in addition to surface -to-air missiles, and the surface-to-sea missiles. “The Israeli army is dealing seriously with this, and is doing exercises, is maneuvering, and is exchanging information with the United States of America to confront this danger”.
