Syrian Opposition says to be ready to negotiate with President Assad at Geneva 2
FSA Vice President Farouk al-Shara will attend the negotiations.

The Opposition emphasized through its spokesman that while it wants to find a viable solution to Syria, it will never agree to President al-Assad to remain at the presidency and wants instead to see formed a transition government.

He warned that any proposal which would provision for President Bashar al-Assad to stay on as President of Syria would be a betrayal to the spirit of the revolution and as such completely unacceptable.

It is important to note that this statement comes at a time when the Opposition has been plagued with internal dissensions.

Several dozen rebel groups in southern Syria have broken with the main political opposition group in exile, a local commander said in a video posted Wednesday, dealing a potential new setback to Western efforts to unify moderates battling President Bashar Assad's regime.
