Al Jazeera and Saudi Arabia –tit for tat

According to sources close to the matter, Al Jazeera would have made some changes to a statement from King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, officially congratulating newly elected Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sissi. 

Al Jazeera would have made some changes to the royal cable which would have enraged Saudi officials.

The new spat has been discussed at length on social sites.

According to many, Al Jazeera “editing” only reinforced its rancour against Saudi Arabia.
