Peshmerga clash with ISIL militants

Islam Times - Kirkuk governor, Najm al-Din Omar Karim said on Friday that clashes in between Peshmerga and IS militants (Islamic Caliphate) led to the death of 6 of its men. He added that an estimated 50 were injured, including a commander.

Governor Karim issued a press statement on Friday in which he noted terrorists only understand the language of threat and bloodshed. He explained how the region had suffered under IS, faced to confront the horrors of terrorism.

He vowed to continue to oppose IS militants and protect his people to the best of his abilities.
