Islam Times - Saudi Arabia makes donation to Gaza

Islam Times - King Abdullah has issued a directive to donate SR100 million ($25.7 million) to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Health Minister Adel Fakeih said this directive was issued to face the shortage of medicine and medical supplies to treat the injured during the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people in Gaza.

He said this support comes two weeks after the king donated SR200 (over $50 million) million to the Palestinian Red Crescent to secure medical supplies for the injured.

But while Saudi Arabia wants to show the world that it stands with Gaza it is important to note that the kingdom has encouraged Israel to hit Gaza in order to destroy Hamas and secure that Palestine will not stand united.

Moreover, the Kingdom has expressed a willingness of late to normalize its relationships with Israel, further proof that Al Saud and Israel are not in fact enemies but rather allies in the region.

Over 1000 people have died since July 8th, when Israel begun pounded Gaza.
