Islam Times - Sabra congratulates Erdogan over presidential victory

Islam Times - The President of the Syrian National Council, George Sabra congratulated Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his victory at the first round of the presidential elections.

“Through popular vote, you won a historic victory,” he said in his message.

He added, “We have all confidence in the great Turkish people and we know that you deserve the trust they put in you. We hope to God that these elections will herald a new era of peace and prosperity for Turkey.”

Sabra also declared, “under your chairmanship, Turkey will continue to progress on the path of economic prosperity and social development. More importantly Turkey will continue to act a beacon for truth and justice as well as a protector for the innocent and the oppressed.”
