Islam Times - Syria – gunmen did not enter Raqqa airport

Islam Times - Government sources have rejected earlier media reports claiming that gunmen affiliated to Daash have managed to breach Raqqa airport.

Officials confirmed that the Syrian army remains very much in control of the situation in Raqqa.
“Military units have posted around the airport and surrounding areas … all terror elements have been neutralized,” said the authorities.

Moreover, Syrian troops successfully ambushed terror elements in Raqqa countryside, leading to the arrest of some 140 Daash militants.
