Bahrain King unlawfully hands land ownership to family members

Islam Times - In the long list of scandals which have hit the island kingdom of Bahrain over the past years, disturbing reports have surfaced on social networks regarding King Hamad ibn Issa Al Khalifa alleged land grabbing policy.


The King has been accused of unlawfully distributing lands to his family members, thus stealing the people of Bahrain. Moreover the King would have used his influence and power to grant his family members lucrative contracts and real estate development deals.

Documents have been leaked online claiming that the King granted ownership of large swathes of lands in ALBusaiteen, at a time when the state has complained to have enough land to develop housing projects on. It appears King Hamad is more interested in increasing his family’s wealth than provide for his people.

13 royals are believed to have benefited from the King’s generosity -- Isa bin Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. - Salman bin Isa bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. - Nawaf bin Ibrahim bin Hamad Al Khalifa. - Ibrahim bin Salman Bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. - Hamoud bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa. - Hamad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. - Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa. - Ibrahim bin Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. - Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. - Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa. - Daij bin Salman bin Daij bin Hamad Al Khalifa. - Khalid bin Mohammed bin Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. - Mohammed bin Isa bin Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa. 

It is important to note that Bahrain is currently undergoing a housing crisis.
