Islam Times - Following a stream of reports in the press alleging that King Abdullah had passed away or was about to pass away, the Saudi authorities have been keen to dispel such beliefs by arguing that the ruler is enjoying perfect health.

But regardless of what officials might have claimed, the public has remained confused, especially since King Abdullah has failed to appear in public over the past days, adding to the dismay.

Saudi bloggers took to the internet to formulate theories, arguing that Saudi royals were trying to contain news of King Abdullah’s death in a desperate bid to avoid an internal political crisis.

Interestingly the King has been said to have refused visits from his sons and close family members.
