Daash agents want to spread sectarian strife to Baghdad

18 Oct 2014 07:45

Islam Times - Sources in Iraq have warned that covert Daash agents are attempting to sow sectarian tensions in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad in view of promoting their nefarious agenda and fragment the Iraqi nation into a multitude of divided nucleons.

Such tactics of divide to better conquer have been attempted in Syria already and have somehow become a trait of the terror organization.

Daash wants to literally recondition people’s thinking by enforcing their radical views and ideas. The group has been most determined to declare all those who oppose its views as apostates of Islam, infidels deserving to be slaughtered.

Officials and religious figures have warned against such indoctrination, stressing that Daash knows nothing of Islam and stems not from Islam at all.

On Thursday the Iraqi Vice President Nouri Al-Maliki affirmed that Baghdad is fortified and that the media should deny rumours and instead reassured the people since assertions to the contrary are “psychological warfare.”

Al-Maliki said at a press conference in Najaf governorate in the presence of the governor Adnan al-Zurfi as well as the leaders of the Dawa party, “Politicians have to set aside their differences in order to avoid further deterioration in the situation, and the need to provide public interest instead of self-interests.” He added “Past experience has assured us that we have to live together.”
