Violent clashes in Tikrit rage on

Islam Times - Security sources in Iraq Salahuddin province confirmed on Friday that violent clashes opposing the security forces and Daash broke out in the area, with both sides reluctant to give up an inch on their positions.

However, Iraq forces managed to puncture an opening in Daash ranks, enabling the troops to slowly cleanse the area of all terror militants.

Sources on the ground noted, “Violent clashes broke out in the afternoon as the security worked to cleanse neighbouring villages from terror operatives.”
