Brazil’s New President online with Iran

Islam Times – BBC stated that Dilma Rousseff, Brazil’s new president from the Worker’s Party, will continue Lula da Silva’s policies with Iran.


Islam Times reports that Dilma Rousseff became the first women to become the president of Brazil. It is expected that she will continue along the same lines as the former president, Lula da Silva, in both internal policy and foreign policy.
BBC added that during the presidential race, Rousseff stated that she would continue Lula da Siva’s policies regarding Iran’s nuclear program. Lula da Silva was very supportive of Iran’s nuclear program.
Rousseff was able to win the popular vote in the second round of the presidential elections. She has become Brazil’s 40th president and first female president.
She will officially start her presidency on the first of January, 2011.
