Pro- and anti-Erdogan protesters clash in London

Islam Times - Metropolitan police struggled to separate pro- and anti-Erdogan protesters outside Downing Street in London on Tuesday, as the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan began his state visit.

Several protesters were detained by police. Free speech organizations and pro-Kurdish activists are protesting Erdogan's campaign for re-election in Europe after his decision to call for snap poll on June 24.

The Turkish president will meet with British Prime Minister Theresa May as part of a three-day trip, where he is expected to discuss regional security, defense contracts and human rights.
