Islam Times - King of Bahrain: Kuwait's attitudes towards our crisis are unrewarded and empty

Bahrain (Islam Times) - The Bahraini monarch, King Hamad Al Khalifa criticized the positions of some parties in Kuwait during the crisis in his country last year, describing it as "unrewarded and empty".

During a press meeting with a range of Arabs media reporters in Safriya Palace, King Hamad Al Khalifa said that history does not forget the support of Gulf States to his country during its sporadic crises. He noted that his country did not hesitate in supporting Kuwait and the Kuwaiti people through the ordeal of the invasion, and he returned to confirm that "those who do not love Kuwait are not Bahrainis, and those who do not love Bahrain are not Kuwaitis".

According to the vision of the Khulaifi system towards the revolution of Bahrain, and who accused it of conspiracy and external dependence, Hamad added: "When Bahrain passed through the recent events, it became clear that some groups had been in contact with Iran, and obeys the mandate of Faqih. For that, Peninsula Shield Force invited us to repel any aggression against Iran, and so based on the Cooperation Agreement between the GCC states, which did not affect any citizen, but was meant to protect Bahrain from external aggression, and where in Kuwait they asked why the Peninsula Shield, we told them not to forget the common position of the Peninsula Shield during the Iraqi occupation, which is made up of troops from all countries of the Cooperation Council".

The Bahraini monarch confirmed that "our interdependence in the Persian Gulf continued between the leaders and peoples, and that's the reason for our strength and our union which is soon to be formal. He also called on journalists to exercise caution and accuracy of news before it is announced, as words are responsibility when they come out and when published, it cannot be returned.
