Islam Times - Manchester United’s bitter neighbours-turned-title-rivals Manchester City gave the home team a whopping during their visit to Old Trafford during an English Premier League match on Sunday...
Islam Times: The blue team from Manchester beat the red 6-1 in their worst ever top-flight game in England. Manchester City now lead champions Manchester United by 5 points in as many games, as Roberto Mancini’s men finally look the part in their title challenge.
Italian striker Mario Balloteli got the ball rolling by scoring a well slotted goal in the first half. He added a second after the interval shortly before Argentine hitman Sergio Aguero snatched a third.
In the meantime, United, now with 10 men, managed to scrape one back courtesy of a beautifully placed shot from the Scott Darren Fletcher. But it was too little to late for the Reds, as Bosnian Internaional Eden Dzeko scored a fourth with his knee and assisted David Silva for the fifth. Soon after, Silva returned the favour by setting Dzeko up for a 6th goal deep into injury time to inflict a humiliating defeat for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
Eden Dzeko is third in the league’s goal scoring charts with 6 goals, behind teammate Aguero and counterpart Wayne Rooney.
