Tunisian court begins hearing revolution victims case‎

Islam Times - The Tunis Standing Military First Instance Court has resumed hearings in what is known as “the Case of the Martyrs and the Wounded of the Revolution” in the Greater Tunis District and the Governorates of Zarouan, Bizerte, Nabeul, Sousse and Monastir. They took place between the 17 December 2010 and the 14 January 2011. Colonel Mounir Abdennabi, Assistant Director of Military Justice shed light on the case.


Relatives of the Victims and the wounded attended the hearings, holding photos and souvenirs of those who died in the hands of Police forces.

A brother of a victim said it was also the role of the government to protect its people and stop the killing of innocent civilians.

The father of Majdy Mnasery a young victim had a different opinion and asked for revenge by claiming that the only satisfactory judgment would be the execution of the killers.

The Death of the loved ones is a tragic event that only relatives can feel but the Military Court is holding an open trial to make the whole world understand that those who died for the revolution will never be forgotten in Tunisia.
