A Zionist military operation in Gaza will put peace at risk
Islam Times: Osman assured, according to what the correspondent of Islam Times in Gaza stated on Monday, that Egypt has succeeded in restoring calm and is continuing its efforts to abort the planned aggression against the Gaza Strip.

He said that Egypt would continue its efforts with all parties in order to establish truce, maintain the safety and interests of the Palestinian people, and deny any planned hostile intent targeting the Gaza Strip.

The ambassador Osman added that the commitment to the national agreement comes under the strengthening of the internal Palestinian front.

The Zionist media mentioned on Wednesday that Egypt made it clear to the Zionist entity that a widespread operation in the Gaza Strip would threaten the peace between the two countries.

The Zionist ‘Maaref’ newspaper claimed that the moderate Zionist reaction after the 'Eilat' operation and the rocket attacks on southern entity of the Gaza Strip is due to the arrival of a letter from Egypt which stated that it will be difficult for the Egyptian government to face the outraged public opinion if the Zionist entity launches a widespread military operation in the Gaza Strip. The Egyptian government warned that it may have to suspend its diplomatic relations with the Zionist entity in such a case.

The newspaper added that a high-level political Zionist character contacted with Egyptian leaders and told them that it had stopped the attack on Gaza at the request of the Egyptian government. It reported that the Minister of War Ayhud Barak had held conversations with the leader of the Egyptian Military Council Mohamed Al-Tantawi and with the head of Egyptian intelligence who have informed him of the position of Egypt regarding a large-scale operation in the sector.

It is mentioned that thousands of Egyptians are protesting against the Zionist embassy in Cairo, demanding the expulsion of the Zionist ambassador, after the Zionist soldiers killed three Egyptian soldiers in the 'Eilat' operation.
