Despite being proven innocent, Al Khalifa court choses to convict Mohammed Ibn al-Shaykh Ja
Mohammed Sharqi has been sentenced to  three years in prison, for a crime he did not commit and could not have committed as at the time of the alleged offense he was somewhere else altogether, as proven by a video footage.

Regardless the regime has decided to punish him.

His father, Sheikh Sharqi took to twitter to denounce the regime and vent his frustration.

Mohammed, who is only 20 years-old was arrested at his family home on August 26, 2013. He was subsequently taken by police into custody and accused of arson. While his family has presented both the court and the police with ample evidences of his innocence, the young man has been nevertheless found guilty and his appeal was unjustly rejected.

His family has said to be devastated. Such tales of injustice are sadly very common in Bahrain as in the eyes of Al Khalifa all Shia Muslims are by definition criminals.
