Elements of Jundullah are active in Pakistani Baluchistan, says ISI
According to the report on a meeting held on National Security in Islamabad, the Director General ‘ISI’ Lt-General about Iran-Pakistan relations alleged that some elements of the Jundullah were still active in Baluchistan.

Ministers of Defence and Interior and Chief of Military Forces all attended the meeting under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Islamabad this Thursday.

Reacting on Intelligence Chief’s claims, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif gently asked him whose job it was to inform the government of such reality.

The News added that during the briefing, the DG ISI mentioned Iran’s close relations with India on which Nawaz Sharif calmly reminded him that as a matter of policy Pakistan would not interfere with other powers’ internal affairs.

Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam also discussed the internal security situation with regard to the Afghanistan dossier.
 
Lt Gen Zaheerul Islam, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), is said to have faced tough questions during the cabinet’s National Security Council committee meeting.

Pakistani political analysts have recently warned that a new terrorist group called, ‘Jaishul Adl’ had been established by the now defunct terror group ‘Jundullah’ in line it seems with Pakistan Intelligence Chief’s findings. The group is believed to entertain close ties with the ‘Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’ in Baluchistan.
