Video shows Israeli insanity towards children
The video was released last week by a pro-Palestinian organization called the International Solidarity Movement.

An international activist in the video repeatedly says, “He is eleven years old, he is too young to be arrested. He is under 12 years old, he is too young to be arrested.”

The group said Israeli forces fired stun grenades toward the schoolchildren before grabbing and taking them to a nearby police station.

The detained kids were transferred to the Palestinian District Coordination Office after about an hour.

The incident took place in the West Bank city of al-Khalil (Hebron).

Activists say the arrests were made without any reason. They also say detaining children is illegal, even according to Israeli law.

According to Defense for Children International-Palestine, Israeli forces detain from 500 to 700 Palestinian children every year.

Human rights groups and Palestinian officials are increasingly concerned about the Israeli military's actions.

Israel is currently holding hundreds of Palestinians under the age of 18 and on occasions severely violates their rights.

Child detainees are sent to courts that prosecute cases of adults, a flagrant violation of international law.

They are not immune to egregious abuses as mistreatment and torture in Israeli detention facilities are common.

Many of the Palestinian children in Israeli jails have been arrested for nothing more than throwing rocks at heavily armed Israeli troops and armored personnel carriers.

The prison authorities place eight to ten children in a four-square-meter room, verbally abuse them and put them under psychological pressure at every turn, and even molest some of the children.

According to a report published earlier this year, the Israeli regime injects Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails with “dangerous viruses” before releasing them.

“A Palestinian released from Israeli jails, Rania Saqa, has brought to light that the Israeli regime injected detainees that are out of prisons with dangerous viruses,” Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda wrote on April 19.

Saqa also said many of the prisoners are suffering from mysteriously incurable diseases such as bladder cancer and liver disorders.

She said it is a standard procedure for Israelis to inject Palestinian detainees before freeing them.

“Most former inmates die after being released from Israeli jails,” the newspaper wrote.

A rights organization has accused Israel of using Palestinian prisoners to test new drugs.

More than 4,500 Palestinian prisoners are held in Israeli prisons, many of them without charge or trial.
