Richard Goldstone was interviewed by the Russian station Al-Yawm. He said: “The facts that were researched in this report included a research of the crimes against humanity that were committed against the defenseless people in the war.”

He was asked what proofs he had to support his claims. He responded: “The best piece of evidence supporting this report is the battlefield and various areas of Gaza. The reality of the situation is clearly seen there.”

He stated about the beginning of the war: “The Israeli army answered these attacks [he is referring to the missile attacks of Zionist settlements] by attacking civilians in a wide scale attack which has worried the people of the world.”
