What happened in Shabwa, Yemen?
According to officials, the US-led drone strike aimed to target an al-Qaeda training camp.

Several media quoted the Supreme Security Committee, (on which both the defence and interior ministers seat as well as the country's intelligence chief) as saying, “the attack struck the rugged Mahfad Mountains between Abyan and Shabwa provinces.”

Images published online have shown the wreckage of a vehicle believed to have belonged to Nasser Louhichi, a key AQAP commander. The US-led drone strike aimed to take him down.

While sources have claimed he died in the strike, no official report has been published yet.
