Syrian President to make inaugural speech on Wednesday – He can say “I told you so”
While experts and analysts continue to debate what points the Syrian president is likely to make, many have already emphasized that Al Assad is entitled to big fat “I told you so” when it comes to the wave of terror which has engulfed the entire region since 2011.

It is important to remember that it was President Bashar al Assad who first warned against the so-called freedom militias and the “Syrian Free army” alleging that such groups harboured criminals of war and terrorists. He warned the world against financing and militarily enabling militias in Syria, stressing that the international was de facto financing terror. Everything President Al Assad warned the world against came to pass with utmost accuracy. All the evils Al Assad talked about have been revealed.

The Middle East has been thrown in the midst of a raging sectarian fire with legions of Islamic radicals roaming about.

Sources close to Al Assad’s government told AFP reporters on Tuesday, “President Assad will be sworn in before a large number of figures Wednesday. He will then give an inauguration speech in which he will outline plans for his new seven-year term.”

The location of the ceremony has not yet been disclosed for security reasons.
So what will President Al Assad say?

Al Assad can say confidently that the international community has single-handedly financed the rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and propped up al Qaeda in the region. He can confidently say that because of Washington’s illogical and dangerous foreign policies the Middle East has been plunged in an ocean of darkness.

He can say that the United Nations has completely reneged on its mandate by supporting terror against democracy.

He can say that the international community bears responsibility for the many lives lost in Syria and Iraq, notwithstanding Gaza, Lebanon, Bahrain and everywhere else where western governments have chosen to align with tyrants.

It is likely President Al Assad will say that while he cannot predict when the war will end he can promise that his army is working tirelessly to return all provinces and villages under the control of the state. He will be able to reassure his countrymen as military troops are securing tactical advances against terror militias across Syria.

Al Assad is likely to call on his people to remain hopeful and positive as order is being restored.  As President Al Assad once said Syria will be rebuilt stronger and more beautiful than ever. The people of Syria will withstand terror as one, beyond all religious or ethnic lines as they stand for Syria before anything else.

It is actually Syria’s diversity which makes it so strong.

President Al Assad is likely to push forward nationalism before sectarian and ethnicity as to promote a strong Syrian identity.
