Radical group “stop Islamisation of Europe” stirring up trouble again

Islam Times: The group’s single aim is of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe. The motto of the group is, “Racism is the lowest form of human stupidity but Islamophobia is the height of common sense.”

Stop Islamization of Europe has its roots in the famous Prophet Muhammad cartoon controversy.

SIOE attempted to win the support of the Jewish community and proposed that 1,000 Jews carry Israeli flags in support of a previous protest. But the group was rebuffed by the Jewish community in London whose leadership accused the SIOE of spreading “outrageous lies” to divide the Harrow community.

In a recent interview Demographer and Economist Richard Hokenston has, however described the claims of SIOE as the “world's biggest myth.” He said, “It’s in the Muslim world that birth rates are falling the fastest, including in Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Yemen and Iraq; in Iran it’s already below replacement level. And even in Afghanistan and Pakistan, it’s falling at a slower rate. When women from high birth rate countries move to low birth rate countries like those in Europe, they adopt the local standard.”

The fear about the ‘Muslimization’ of Europe is based on false premises. A high percentage of growth of Muslim population is from converts. Tens of thousands of Europeans convert to Islam every year at their own free will.
