75% of Palestinians vote for resistance against Israel: Survey
The poll, conducted by the Washington-based Arab American Institute, interviewed a group of 1,264 Palestinian adults on January 20-23, 2013.

An overwhelming 75-percent majority of Palestinians responding to the survey, published on February 4, rejected any retreat from their demands and opted for the continuation of anti-Israeli resistance.

Only 24 percent backed continuation of so-called peace talks with Israel and one percent of the respondents did not respond.

Israel’s expansion of its illegal settlements on Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank, military strikes on the long-blockaded Gaza Strip and assassination of resistance leaders are the main factors fueling Palestinians' distrust in negotiations with Tel Aviv.

Adding insult to injury, Tel Aviv's education authorities have recently omitted boundaries separating Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip from Israeli textbooks.

Experts have warned that the move indicates Israel's disregard for the Palestinians' right to a homeland and another measure to naturalize the occupation of Palestinian territories.
