Mossad assassinates a High-Ranking Russian General

Islam Times reports that a Russian security source leaked information pointing to Mossad’s assassination of Yuri Afinov, a high-ranking Russian military intelligence officer.
This security source added: “The reason behind the murder of this general by Mossad is that they are warning Russia’s intelligence agency.” General Yuri Afinov was a high-ranking Russian military intelligence officer. His body was found Saturday on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea near Turkey.
Yuri Afinov had a meeting in Tartus, Syria on August 6th, 2010 and has not been heard of since. He played an important role in the sale of a special type of missile to Syria.
Israel considered these missiles a threat to its security and oppose them being sold to Syria. Ehud Barak, Israel’s minister of defense, travelled to Russia in order to prevent the sale of advanced weaponry to Syria. He is expected to speak with the Russian minister of defense in this regard.
Israel use these missiles in their navy.
