Terrorist groups are given open hand in Pakistan, says Hamid Moosavi
Talking to Islam Times on the side line of a gathering in Rawalpindi, he noted that in view of the critical law and order situation, the government should explain why it is it has allowed terror groups to strive in such a manner.

Speaking about the peace talks' process with banned group, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Hamid Moosavi stressed, “if the TTP is actually desirous of peace then they should openly condemn terrorism.”

Hamid Moosavi said that the TTP has announced that they are not responsible for Islamabad incident …and yet why should we trust them. If they are indeed being open and honest they should tell us what groups fall under their control.”

Regarding foreign elements involved in the terrorist activities in Pakistan, the religious scholar emphasized that ambassadors of foreign countries involved in acts of terrorism in Pakistan should be summoned by the Foreign Ministry as to lodge protest against them.

He added that different foreign agencies and wings of some religious political parties are also involved in acts of terrorism.

Criticising the role of media, Hamid Moosavi lamented that media give honour to terrorist groups through in depth coverage. He noted how against all odds the media had managed to reach inaccessible places for their coverage of terror activities, wondering how much the media actually knew about terror groups and whether or not they could be on some level accomplice to such crimes.
