Qaradawi leaves Kuwait following calls for his expulsion
Qaradawi has been accused of enticing violence and bloodshed.

Qaradawi headed to Kuwait to attend the fourth annual International Islamic Charitable Organization.

MP Abdullah al-Tamimi critisized Abdullah Al-Maatouq, Amiri Diwan Advisor, Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) and envoy of the UN Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, = asking for several members to be expelled on account of their lack of neutrality.

He noted, "Qaradawi attacked Gulf leaders, including the Emir of Qatar. He accused Gulf leaders to have finance the killing of innocent Egyptians."

MP Riad Adsani said "Qaradawi has glorified Saddam Husein who occupied Kuwait and has been responsible for the death of our faithful martyrs," suggesting he should therefore not be allowed in Kuwait.

A prominent figure of the Muslim Brotherhood, Qaradawi has faced much criticism and political backlash in recent months, especially from Gulf countries since he openly criticized Saudi Arabia.
