The ceremony also honored 2 of the villager youth, who were killed by Israeli forces during the villages’ popular resistance activities.

Israeli forces have routinely raided Nabi Saleh since the villagers set up a popular resistance committee and protested the Israeli confiscation of village land.

Occupation forces have used live ammunition, rubber-coated bullets, gas canisters and the skunk truck to disperse protestors, in addition to nighttime raids and arrests to intimidate the villagers.

Live and rubber coated bullets shot randomly by occupation forces, in addition to tear gas and the nasty smelling chemical fluid fired from the skunk truck which are carried by the wind; have affected the entire village, but mostly the children.

During the past 12 months Israeli forces have injured hundreds of Palestinians and international solidarity activists during the Nabi Saleh weekly protests. 2 Palestinians; Mustafa and Rushdi Tamimi have been killed since.

On the third anniversary of the Nabi Saleh protests, villagers vow to continue the popular activities until they regain the land confiscated by Israel settlers and forces.
