US plotting to distract Arabs from Palestine cause

Q: Why do you believe it is that the Arab world is not united when it comes to the issue of Palestine?
 
Moussawi: Unfortunately what can I say about this. When you talk about Arab world, you talk about the governments; you don’t talk about the people and the people are more or less being misled, are being confused are being preoccupied with their own internal domestic affairs. They are not being given any opportunity to take a breath in order to think about the central cause of all the Arabs and all of the Muslims which is the Palestinian cause.  
 
Why the Arabs are not supporting the Palestinian? Simply, because what’s happening all over the Arab world now is a kind of confusion, the same way that the Americans were plotting in order to drive the attention of Arabs somewhere else. Now, they are confused, they are preoccupied with Iraq, with Syria, everywhere but not in Palestine.
I believe that we have, as Muslims and as Arabs, to take into account and to take notice that what’s happening and behind everything is the Israeli plot trick with every Palestinian cause. 
 
I believe under a very high screen of silence, under a high screen of camouflage while the Arabs and most of the Muslims are preoccupied with their own domestic affairs, the Israelis are trying to go to the last episode of liquidating the Palestinian cause.
Thanks to the Palestinian people, thanks to the well determination of the resistance. This is not going to happen because the people will count. They will always count.   
 
Q: You said that the Palestinian issue is essential to all Arab issues. Why is that do you think? 
 
Moussawi: It is because what is happening in the whole of the Arab world. We have to remember Israel always. Isreal is trying to divide and rule. It’s trying to saw the seeds of discord among the Arabs themselves, among the Muslims themselves.
What’s happening in Iraq now, it is a kind of American-Israeli plot to ensure and secure the safety of Israel. The only way to save Israel is to create a pure Jewish state. This is what the Israelis have been pressing to do and of course it’s going to be a de facto situation.
 
When you have like a Kurdish state, when you have a Sunni state in Iraq and when you have a Shia state in Iraq, Iraq is being, for example, divided into three parts and then you have Syria divided into many parts. Then it would be an easy thing to accept a Jewish state in the region.  
      
Q: Why don’t you speak about this Hezbollah statement specifically? How do you assess the status of the resistance at this point against Israel?
 
Moussawi: It is very evident. Everybody knows that this and Hezbollah leaders high echelons this great regional leader of resistance in Lebanon Seyyed Hassan Nasralla has pledged and has vowed that the resistance in Lebanon will not be in any way deprived from the way in order to upgrade its levels to be in its full alert and in its full readiness to counterattack any Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
 
I believe Hezbollah as a resistance movement is aware what’s happening now. Regardless of what’s happening in Syria just next to Lebanon, what’s happening in Iraq, what’s happening everywhere, they know very well who is behind all of these things. They know what the Israels are plotting and doing and they are upgrading their status, always in such a way as to counter any attacks and that’s to be up to any kind of challenge from the Israeli side.
