Hamas arrests spying suspects in Gaza
Hamas Interior Ministry website quoted Mohammed Lafi, an internal security chief, as saying on Saturday that “half of them have confessed to being collaborators.”

“The Gaza Strip is swarming with Western intelligence agencies, such as the American, British, French and German services,” Lafi said, adding that certain Arab spy agencies were also operating in Gaza. “They all target Gaza and Hamas,” he stated.

Lafi added that Hamas had a “list of collaborators who will be arrested once the time for them to repent has run out.”

The Hamas official also cautioned against alleged Palestinian “collaborators” feeding information to foreign spying agencies.

In mid-March, Hamas Interior Ministry warned those spying for the Israeli regime that they would be pursued without mercy if they did not turn themselves in by April 11.

Hamas Deputy Interior Minister Kamel Abu Maddi said despite the damage that the “collaborators have committed against our people and society, we will deal discreetly with anyone who repents.”
