Mubarak going to Germany for Treatment

Islam Times reports that Spiegel wrote that Hosni Mubarak might travel to Germany for treatment. It stated that he will soon travel to Baden-Baden, Germany and will be held in a luxurious hospital. The necessary talks have already taken place, but it is still not sure whether Mubarak personally wants to do this or not.

New York Times also reported about suggestions made in the Egyptian government about Mubarak traveling to Germany for treatment. These suggestions were made by Omar Suleiman, the vice president of Egypt, with the purpose of finding a method which Mubarak can leave power without loosing face.

In accordance with this plan, Mubarak will leave Egypt for Germany in order to be medically examined. But, he will stay there for an extended period of time. Other suggestions have been made, such as Mubarak leaving his house in Cairo and returning to Sharm al-Sheikh for the remainder of his life.
