Palestine police stage march in Gaza to display security ‎

Despite the threats of the Israeli Minister for Military Affairs, and the recent Israeli assaults, Palestinian security forces of the democratically elected Hamas-led government marched through Gaza neighborhoods to send clear messages to whoever sees them.
 
It is this sense of security that Gazans missed before Hamas took power, and it is one of the reasons that people elected Hamas in 2006. Hamas forces proved very effective in fighting crime, drug dealing, and other insecurities.
 
 
The Ministry of Interior wanted to send another message from this march. It is a message to the Israeli occupation who wishes to weaken the government in Gaza or make it collapse.
 
 
While Israel has been trying to create internal obstacles for the government in Gaza, it is very clear that this impressive march for the security forces achieved its goals.
 
The security forces of the democratically elected government in Gaza came out today to send two messages. The first is to the Palestinians, that we are capable of providing the security we promised you. And the second is to Israel, that we are strong and in control despite your assaults
