Gazans suffer chronic poverty
According to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA, %26 of the Gazan workforce, including %38 of youth, are still unemployed while %75 of Gazans depend on some form of humanitarian aid.

The World Food Program also has pointed out that due to lack of purchasing power, the type of food consumed by households worsened post June 2010 as a result of increased consumption of products made mostly of fats and sugar leading to poorer diet and nutrition. %56 of household expenditure in Gaza are spent on food forcing Gazans to spend less money on healthcare and education.

“Gazans are slipping deeper into poverty as they suffer from high averages of chronic food insecurity and unemployment.

Residents of this poor neighborhood in Gaza call on the international community, the international organizations to try find them an alternative for the terrible situation they live in.

"As Gazans extremely suffer from poverty, the Israeli blockade maintains , leaving the festering status quo to breed more poverty and desperation."
