Antoine Nasrallah to Islam Times - A state within the state -

Nasrallah was keen to denounce the last week's bombing on Ruwais, saying that such attack was aimed to disrupt Lebanon and create confusion as well as fear amid the population.
 
He explained that just as Syria, Egypt, Bahrain and Yemen are currently battling insecurity within their territories elements in Lebanon are trying to deliberately create instability in Lebanon and to an extent the Levan region for their own political agenda.

"The danger today is that foreign agendas are looking to destabilize Lebanon and create a political vacuum by fracturing social cohesion and engineer hatred within communities."
 
He noted that the real enemy of Lebanon is Israel, as its hands are always trying to promote chaos and prevent any hope of unification within the Arab world.
 
Speaking on the dangers faced by Lebanon at such junction, Nasrallah warned against the formation of a state within the state as militias and factions will seek to tear down the fabric of the state and gain greater control over the political arena.

"We hope that we will be able to contain the threat and immediately create a government of national unity, as unity is the only viable solution."
 
He added scathing, "the so-called party of Aisha -which claimed responsibility for last week's explosion in South Beirut - only wants to create sedition between Sunnis and Shiites."
