Israel can’t stand up to Palestinian fighters: Hamas
In a news conference in Tehran on Monday, Khaled al-Qaddumi elaborated on the retaliatory military operations by Palestinian resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip in the face of escalating Israeli aerial assaults on the blockaded coastal enclave.

The Hamas official said the rockets fired from Gaza in retaliation for Israel’s fatal aerial assaults have reached the strategic city of Haifa in the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing that Palestinian resistance fighters have the upper hand in the conflict with the Tel Aviv regime.

Palestinian resistance fighters in the Ezzedine al-Qassam and al-Quds Brigades have managed to deal heavy blows to the Israeli regime during air, ground and sea operations, added Qaddumi.

A total of 173 Palestinians have so far been killed and at least 1,230 others injured since the Israeli military began a fresh wave of airstrikes on the Gaza Strip last Tuesday.

Despite international calls for an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said recently that the Tel Aviv regime was hitting Gaza “with growing force” and that there was no end in sight.

In response to Israel’s deadly air raids on Gaza, Palestinian resistance fighters have fired a barrage of rockets deep into Israeli cities.

Israel’s US-funded Iron Dome missile system has also proved vulnerable after failing to intercept the retaliatory rockets fired by Palestinians into the occupied lands. The failure of the highly-publicized missile system has sparked panic among Israelis.
