Protesters took to the streets of Moscow on Wednesday to condemn Israel’s killing of Palestinian civilians.

They also called for an end to the “Israeli apartheid” and the US’s aid to the Tel Aviv regime.

The demonstrators shouted slogans such as, “Russian people against the Zionist terror” and “I am not a target - I am a child.”

Israel carried out military attacks on Gaza for 30 days. About 1,900 people, including over 400 children, have been killed and over 9,500 others have been injured.

Activists and people from different political parties and associations attended the anti-Israeli demonstrations in Moscow.

“As we talk now, many people in Gaza are in hospitals with torn hands and feet. Gaza Strip is the land of martyrs. Russian intellectuals, journalists, and public figures support the Palestinians and are ready to travel to Gaza,” Russian writer Alexander Prokhanov said.

Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow Fayed Mustafa was also present at the demonstration in the Russian capital.

“We look forward to the continued support of the Russian Federation. Russia is our historical friend and partner... These kinds of events will be held in Russia furthermore,” Mustafa said.

The Israeli offensive has drawn widespread international condemnation.

The Israeli regime and the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have agreed to a three-day truce, which took effect at 8 a.m. (0500 GMT) Tuesday.
