‘Saudi money spent to pervert Islam’

‘Saudi money spent to pervert Islam’
Question: What is your reading into this move by Saudi Arabia?

Short: It just shows that the Saudi ruling monarchy has made itself a criminal regime; it is violating Nuremberg era laws in the national treaties and conventions and along with the conventions against genocide, they are violating it because ultimately there is a decided policy of eliminating Shia.

Genocide is killing even one person based on religion or ethnic origin and they are using the Assad regime as a shibboleth to mask the desire to eliminate Shia in the world, at least to eliminate it in rival to their understanding of how things should be in Islam.

Q: What is your reaction to Jihad Mouracadeh’s comments there?

Short: It is absurd. When you have a country that is invaded by people from all over the world that are coming in and cutting people’s throat, threatening people and doing all sorts of human rights atrocities. Please do not interrupt me; he asked me the question and I am answering.

They are murdering people. They have disproportionately killed Alawi and Christians in Syria. They have the right to fight for sovereignty and if someone were to do this to Saudi Arabia... No, you are not going to change this.

The people that are there, if they want to change in their government which they may want that, they do not want their country destroyed by foreigners and Saudi Arabia needs to use that money to deal with the flow of workers in that country that they are killing and to bring some peace.

No, that interpretation is the same thing that was done in Libya. You have people come in... No, they do not support; no, that is your interpretation and the country that you are in, Lebanon, is on the brink of having a civil war because of the dangerous flow of arms and these dangerous people who respect no one.

So you cannot come with me and tell me that. These people have no intention of really having a change in Syria. They do not want that. It is destroying the country. Saudi Arabia cannot manage its own nation. The people are rebellion against the elites there and they are also against... you know what? The Assad regime has never given me anything; I bet you have been given more than anything I have received.

I am speaking because a hundred thousand Syrian people have been killed for no reason at all. If they wanted a change in the government which they could have fought for, it has been hijacked by people who think like you, by people who think that somehow if you bring... and they kill everyone and somehow that will make a transition.

It is outrageous. It is outrageous that the people of Syria are being [bled] and now people of Lebanon are being [bled] and it is all the rules because Saudi Arabia is collapsing internally.

I do care about people. Just let me finish. No, you do not care. You cannot tell me what I care about. It does not matter what you accept. You have a hundred thousand dead people. They did not have to die; none of them had to die, not like this. No, you killed them; your ideology; the people that you are arguing for killed them

Q: The problem is here, Randy Short, maybe you could expand on this. It sounds like Saudi Arabia is basically saying that it is my way; it is not even saying it is my way or the highway. This is my way; it is going around the US; it is going around the UK, the countries involved minus Turkey.

Now to me that sounds like there might be a confrontation that is going to come about between Saudi Arabia and the other countries that are part of this international equation; we could put Russia in there; we could also put Iran in there.

Short: My feeling is, one, the United States, Great Britain and Turkey, they have no business bothering - and Israel which is there too - bothering the sovereignty of the people of Syrian; that is one.

Number two, the Syrian government is trying to work within a peace process. So it seems to say if once they have done, what you saw happened in Libya and in Iraq when people got rid of certain weapons, then that aggressive power aligned with the West or Western power attacked that country.

The gentleman speaking said that those fighters were accountable to no one. Not only were they not accountable to anyone, they were not accountable to international law or standards in terms of how they have treated the Syrian people, whether there is a legitimate move to change the government in Syria, they did not want this.

And so Saudi Arabia is fraudulent in terms of it using its money to pervert justice, to pervert Islam, to pervert social change to suit them, when they do not even allow women to drive automobiles in their country where they jail and persecute minorities; they mistreat the Shia and they still have all sorts of illegal things in their country. It seems like they should use that money for the poor people in Saudi Arabia versus destroying Syria.

Yes, it makes me laugh because all revolutions are not like that. You might be a social commentator but you are not a historian. Most revolutions are fought by the people themselves within their country: Chinese revolution, the Iranian revolution, the French revolution; they did not have people from 80 countries armed by other interests doing this. Maybe people get help from other countries to fight their revolution but their do not have foreign [fighters] to that. That is not history.

Honestly, one of the things I know is the Iranian revolution whether I have the name - hold on, do not interrupt me, you asked me to answer a question - I know this that the masses of Iranian people wanted a change from the Shah and the same thing from the French revolution and it is the same thing that happened within the other revolutions is that you need the masses of the people to support it.

You do not have huge numbers of people from other countries armed by other powers fighting. This is not what is happening in Syria, whether you like my answer or not.

Q: What is your reaction to Jihad Mouracadeh’s comments there?

Short: Israel does want to expand. The wars that it has fought in Lebanon, the very country this man is speaking from, the people would like to get the water from the Litani River. There is a greater plan for an Israel that includes parts of Iraq, parts of Sinai, parts of Syria and in fact they have the Shebaa farms and the Golan Heights, not far from where this man is sitting.

Israel wants as much as it can get and not only that, the occupied territories which do not belong to Israel, every time they put up construction for new housing, this is more land stolen from people that the Khazars have no right to.

Israel is inherently an expansionist state. It has everything to do with Syria because the Golan Heights belongs to Syria and in case you have forgotten and in case you do not want to deal with the fact that there has been some firing in the Golan Heights within the last few months, Israel has bombed and attacked several installations in Syria. No, they did not forget about the Golan Heights.

Sounds like Saudi Arabia is doing nothing for the Palestinians for 40 years and all of a sudden, they are concerned.

Q: Let me get your idea on this article in Foreign Policy magazine. Saudi Arabia is lining up an army of about 50,000 men, in Jordan, with the help of Pakistani instructors, to attack Syria. How probable is that?

Short: They have been empting the jails in Saudi Arabia. Money has come through Prince Bandar’s security group to fund these groups. Why not?

They want this government gone. They failed. They have been embarrassed; they have gotten desperate and they do not want a negotiated peace. They want this done through force because a negotiated peace does not seem to be working for the people that are in millions; [their attacks on the millions] have failed to remove the government.

So they want to do it by force, otherwise, in a negotiated peace, they will not get the outcome that they fought so hard for.

Q: I just read in the wires the Geneva-2 conference has said, I forgot the exact date for December, is it going to happen do you think? Or are we going to have countries like Saudi Arabia stopping it from happening?

Short: I hope it happens but I believe there is a big rule. I am not convinced that the US is sincere in its negotiations with Iran. So I believe that they may be playing like they do not like Saudi Arabia for the moment to try to manipulate the situation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

I think that they do not want peace and I think that they would like to see their policy for overturning the government succeed. So I think they will go with whichever way is most expedient.

So if you can get peace because they cannot get this alleged invasion going, then they will go with it. Remember Obama put his foot in his mouth with the red line. So I guess they do not want to get embarrassed. But if the Saudis or some other group is successful, they are going to claim that.

Everybody wants to be successful although they failed thus far in getting rid of the Assad regime and the Syrian people, the majority which support him. Obama is a failure; Obama is a war criminal and a failure who should give his peace prize back.
