America’s secretary of state mentioned America’s role in drug smuggling
She clearly stated in a trip to Mexico: “Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade.” When Clinton entered Mexico, she told a group of reporters: “Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers and civilians.”

Clinton’s two-day trip to Mexico occurred after Obama’s decision to strengthen border security was announced.

Over the past two years about eight thousand people were killed in Mexico in violence attributed to drugs.

The White House announced a 700 million dollar budget for a plan to strengthen border security between Mexico and America, to prevent illegal weapon smuggling, to prevent drug sales in America and Mexico, and drug prevention.
