Saudi Arabia and the policy of the red herring

Saudi Arabia and the policy of the red herring
The champion of Islamic radicalism, Saudi Arabia has long thrown its weight behind groups of the like of ISIL, or Al Nusra Front, all Salafis-Wahhabis by-products, the weapons of war of a state which sole purpose has always been to lay waster Islam.

Saudi Arabia is a fine calculator. Its petro-dollars have served to silence many critics and many cries of anger.

Now Saudi Arabia has claimed that it will take precautionary measures against ISIL – Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – as its takfiris are allegedly threatening to storm its borders.

The Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud ordered Thursday all necessary measures be taken to protect the national security after the recent developments in neighboiring Iraq.
"Anticipating that terrorist organizations or others could carry out actions that might disturb the security of the homeland, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has ordered taking all necessary measures to protect the gains of the homeland and its territories in addition to the security and stability of the Saudi people," reads a statement by the Royal Court Thursday.

The statement did not specify the measures ordered by the King, but it pointed out that the instructions were made after a meeting for the Saudi National Security Council presided by the King to consider the recent developments in the region particularly in Iraq.

"Mindful of the current events in the region, especially in Iraq, the National Security Council, presided over by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has reviewed the course and consequences of events," it noted.

Under threat? How can anyone forget that it is the kingdom, under the leadership of Prince Bandar bin Sultan, Saudi Arabia former Chief Spy that terror was born, bred and grown?

The cradle of terror, it is Saudi Arabia’s Wahhabis who gave life to the horror that is ISIL and Al Nusra and Al Qaeda. It was its millions which helped propped up an army of Takfiris.
It is its work which has sown destruction and misery across the Levant.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia assured American officials on Friday that he would use his influence with Sunni leaders in Iraq to try to speed the formation of a multi-sect government there, a senior State Department official said.

The king’s assurance is a shift in the Sunni monarchy’s stance and was conveyed to Secretary of State John Kerry in a meeting that lasted three and a half hours here.

The Saudis had been reluctant to support the formation of a new Iraqi government until it became clear that Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki would not be given a third term.

“Both the secretary and the king believe that the security challenges that Iraq faces require a new government,” said the State Department official, referring to the government formation process underway in Baghdad.

“The two shared a view that all of Iraq’s communities should be participating on an urgent basis in the political process to allow it to move forward, and that both the secretary and King Abdullah in their conversations with Iraqi leaders would convey that message directly to them,” added the official, who spoke on the condition of and anonymity under State Department protocol.

While both Saudi Arabia and the United States are set to benefit from Iraq terror crisis by pushing forth their respective agenda, one needs to remember that it is they, which created terror.
