Daash tries to seize control in Baiji after losing ground in Dujail
Earlier this week terror militants lost much ground against the Iraqi army in the Salahuddin province, forcing the group to retreat.

A total of 50 people were killed on Tuesday in clashes and air strikes against the positions of the Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq, security source said.

In Salahudin province, Iraqi security forces, backed by Shia militia, captured three villages in the south-eastern town of Dujail, some 60 km north of Iraqi capital Baghdad, after fierce battles with ISIL militants. At least seven militants were killed and five of their vehicles destroyed read reports.

The group would have now set its eyes on Baiji, a move the Iraqi army predicted.

Sources have confirmed that military troops in the area have already thwarted several attempts to breach security—car bombs.
