The story of terrorist Ahmed Salim Mikati
The wanted terrorist has several warrants under his name.

Security sources revealed that the terrorist Ahmad Mikati used to coordinate with one of the North's MPs and plotted for launching a major attack against the Lebanese army.

The security sources added that the attack's plot was devised so that it mimics the Douniyeh events in 2000 in order to distract the army and the security services away from Arsal, where the terrorist groups are trying to break the siege imposed on their dens on the bordering barrens by the Lebanese and the Syrian militaries by operating their dormant cells in Lebanon.

A military statement confirming Mikati’s arrest read on the matter, “The arrested terrorist A.K.A “Abi Bakr” and “Abou el-Houda” was born in 1968. He recently declared his allegiance to ISIS terrorist organization and he is considered one of the major ISIS commanders in the North region. The arrested terrorist was planning to conduct a major terrorist attack in coordination with his son Omar who is fighting with ISIS in the barren areas of Ersal in addition to interacting with ISIS commanders inside Syrian terrorists. Furthermore, he had recently sent Lebanese young men to join ISIS in the barren areas of Kalamoun including his son Omar AKA “Abou Hourayra” and his nephew Bilal Omar Mikati AKA “Abou Omar Mikati” who is involved in slaying the martyr sergeant first class Ali el-Sayed.

The suspect had also enlisted a number of soldiers to join ISIS. Many warrants of arrest were issued in his name during the incidents of Tripoli following the clashes between Bab el-Tibbeneh and Jabal Mehsen where he was leading a group of gunmen including dozens of individuals which he formed after finishing his term in jail in 2010 for the crime of plotting for terrorist acts against diplomatic centers and foreign interests in 2004.

He was also suspected of participating in the MacDonald restaurant blast in 2003 and he had previously participated in the Donniye battles against the Army in late 1999 where he was affiliated to a Takfiri group and had fled to the camp of Ayn el-Helwe following the end of the battles.

Light and medium caliber weapons in addition to their ammunition were confiscated in the apartment which was raided as well as hand grenades, explosive belts and military equipment and a Lebanese Army Camouflaged uniform and explosives.

Investigation is underway with the suspect under the supervision of the law.
