Sectarianism increases crises in the Muslim world, says Raja Zafarul Haq
Talking to Islam Times on the side-line of a seminar in Islamabad, Raja Zafar ul Haq, the leader of the house in Senate of Pakistan noted, “The Muslim world is passing through many crises and bringing them to a single platform is a huge challenge nowadays.” He emphasized that Muslims can resolve their hardships through unity, stressing leaders have a duty toward achieving such great objective.

Raja Zafarul Haq also criticized the role of OIC and said, “The Organization of the Islamic Countries (OIC) has become dead.”

“If such a problem of disunity is not settled today then this will have a lasting negative impact on the Islamic World,” he declared, calling on world leaders to step up and honour their duty of leadership.

Speaking on Egypt, Syria and other countries in crisis he explained that enmity in between Islamic factions only served to taint Islam’s image across the world, belittling its message of tolerance. “Such situation is damaging the unity among Muslim countries as well as creating a negative image of the Muslim Ummah.”
