The shooter was identified by the police as Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, previously Carlos Bledsoe. Rifles were found in his truck.

The dead soldier is William long. Another soldier, Quinton Ezeagwula was shot and wounded in the attack as well.

Muhammad said he was angry about the killing of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. He converted to Islam as a teen.
